【研究背景】

時代の発展に伴い、世界的に高齢化の問題が顕在化している。特日中は両国では。統計によると、中国の2021年までの高 齢者人口(60歳以上)は2億6000万人を超え、総人口の18.9%を占めている。日本では2023年に高齢者人口の割合が29% を超えた。このようなデータは明らかな高齢化傾向を示している。この現象は人類の寿命の延長と生活の質の向上を反映 するだけでなく、社会の中高年層の需要と価値がより広く深く注目されるべきであることを示唆している。一般的な感覚 では、高齢者は穏やかで厳粛なイメージと思われがちで、『セクシー』という形容はふさわしくないだろう。しかし高齢 者が若者のように多様性や魅力を持っていないというわけではない。文化的なステレオタイプにおさまらない彼らの個性 や生命力を写真を使って表現することを目指します。

【研究内容】

この研究の主な対象はアジアの高齢者とし、以下に挙げるようないくつかのタイプを設定して取材撮影を進める。

●自然派:自然やコミュニティを大切にし、穏やかで素朴、家庭生活を楽しんでいる。

●社会活動家:おしゃれで明るく、社会活動に参加し、社交的で、家族関係が豊か。

●文化を求める人:教養や芸術を重視し、内省的で思慮深く、家庭教育や文化遺産を大切にする。
●冒険家: エネルギッシュで勇敢な探検家、アウトドア活動を好み、家族生活の中で冒険的な体験を楽しむ。

●創造的な人:個性的でスタイリッシュ、想像力に富み、創造的な職業に従事し、創造的な家庭生活を楽しむ。

 

【研究方法】
1. 定義:「お年寄りのセクシーな魅力」を定義するには、伝統的な観念から解放し、自己受容と自信、豊かな経験と知識 、個性と自己表現、そして人間関係とコミュニティを考慮する必要があります。 彼らの内面の豊かさや個性を尊重し、自己受容と自信を促進することが、新しい視点での定義に不可欠です。 高齢者のイメージとセクシーの定義に関する既存の文献を分析し、日中両国の異なる文化的背景が高齢者のセクシー認知 に与える影響を探求しています。
2. インタビュー :被写体になる人を理解する さらに、異なる年齢、背景、職業の高齢者を被写体としてインタビューし、彼らの自己イメージと感情を理解しようとし ています。
3. 撮影:その後、彼らの趣味や個人的なスタイルに基づいて物語性のある撮影シーンを設定し、セクシーさと活力を際立 たせる撮影手法を使用して撮影します。撮影場所、柔らかく自然な光、リラックスしたポージング、背景や衣装の選択、 そして表情など、撮影する私が積極的に演出をします。

 

【研究目的】

東アジア文化の下では、高齢者は他人の目をとても気にしており、「男には男の姿が、女には女の姿が、高齢者には老人 の姿が」という中国の諺にあるように彼らの選択はとても少ない。そんな世俗を突破して、積極的に充実した人生を送る 一部のお年寄りを記録したいと思い、彼らの『セクシーさ』と『元気さ』を見せると同時に、伝統的なお年寄りとは異な る生活の姿を見せたいと考える。写真を通じて魅力と多様性を感じさせ、彼らの美しさを社会にアピールしていきたい。

 

【研究意義】

本研究は高齢者のセクシーな魅力を展示することによって、主流社会の高齢者に対するステレオタイプの印象に挑戦する ことは、高齢者に対するステレオタイプの印象と制限を解消することを目的としており、SDGSの「不平等を減らす」と いう目標が年齢制限の解消を呼びかけているこの目標に合致する。高齢者をより深く、全面的に理解するのを助け、高齢 者グループに対する認識を広げる。年齢を超えた理解とコミュニケーションを促進する。今の社会の下で彼らに対する偏 見と差別誘導を変え、彼らに対する尊重と承認を高める。同時に「セクシー」に対する伝統的な定義に挑戦し、拡張し、 世代を超えた美しさと魅力を認識させたいと考えている。

Photographic Expression of the Sexy Appeal of the Elderly

Research Background

With the development of the times, the issue of aging has become apparent worldwide, particularly in both China and Japan. According to statistics, by 2021, the elderly population in China (aged 60 and above) exceeded 260 million, accounting for 18.9% of the total population. In Japan, the proportion of the elderly population surpassed 29% in 2023. This data clearly indicates a trend of significant aging. This phenomenon not only reflects the extension of human life expectancy and improvement in quality of life but also suggests that the needs and values of the middle-aged and older populations should be more widely and deeply recognized. Generally, the elderly are often seen as calm and solemn, and the adjective 'sexy' might seem inappropriate. However, this does not mean that the elderly lack diversity and charm like the younger generation. This research aims to express their individuality and vitality that defy cultural stereotypes through photography.

Research Content

The main subjects of this research are elderly people in Asia, and several types are set as follows to proceed with interview photography:

  • Nature Lovers: Value nature and community, are calm and simple, and enjoy family life.

  • Social Activists: Fashionable and cheerful, participate in social activities, are sociable, and have rich family relationships.

  • Culture Seekers: Emphasize education and the arts, are introspective and thoughtful, and value family education and cultural heritage.

  • Adventurers: Energetic and brave explorers, enjoy outdoor activities, and have adventurous experiences within family life.

  • Creative Individuals: Unique and stylish, rich in imagination, engaged in creative professions, and enjoy a creative family life.

 

Research Methodology

  1. Definition: To define "the sexy appeal of the elderly," it is necessary to break free from traditional notions and consider self-acceptance and confidence, rich experience and knowledge, individuality and self-expression, and relationships and community. Respecting their inner richness and individuality and promoting self-acceptance and confidence is essential for a new perspective on this definition. The existing literature on the image of the elderly and the definition of sexy will be analyzed, exploring the impact of different cultural backgrounds in China and Japan on the perception of the elderly's sexiness.

  2. Interviews: Understanding the subjects. Additionally, elderly people of different ages, backgrounds, and professions will be interviewed to understand their self-image and emotions.

  3. Photography: Subsequently, narrative shooting scenes based on their hobbies and personal styles will be set, using shooting techniques that highlight sexiness and vitality. I will actively direct the photography, including the choice of shooting locations, soft natural light, relaxed posing, backgrounds and costumes, and expressions.

 

Research Objectives

In East Asian cultures, the elderly are very concerned about others' views and have limited choices, as reflected in the Chinese proverb, "Men have men's appearances, women have women's appearances, and the elderly have the appearance of old people." This research aims to document some elderly people who break through such secular constraints and lead fulfilling lives, showcasing their 'sexiness' and 'vitality,' and presenting a lifestyle different from the traditional image of the elderly. Through photography, I aim to convey their charm and diversity and appeal to society for their beauty.

 

Significance of the Research

This research aims to challenge the stereotypical impressions of the elderly in mainstream society by showcasing their sexy appeal, aligning with the SDG goal of "Reducing Inequality," which calls for the elimination of age-related limitations. It helps to understand the elderly more deeply and comprehensively, broadening the recognition of the elderly group. Promoting understanding and communication across ages, changing the biases and discrimination against them in current society, and increasing respect and recognition for them. At the same time, it challenges and expands the traditional definition of 'sexy,' recognizing beauty and charm across generations.
